Gladsaxe is located 10 km from the center of Copenhagen and has a population of 70,000 residents. The municipality appreciates diversity and has the highest growth rate of international employees in Denmark.

In 2022 Gladsaxe launched a new ambitious business policy framed by the United Nations sustainability goals as the first municipality in Denmark. The green transition and sustainability are key priorities and the municipality has a target of reducing CO2 emissions by 70% in 2030.      

Gladsaxe is one of Denmark´s largest municipalities in terms of number of employees; many leading companies are headquartered in Gladsaxe.

The municipality has significant experience initiating and facilitating various types of partnerships, networks as well as acting as a living lab for companies testing new types of technologies and solutions.
