The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI)

The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) is an agency under the Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration.

We process applications concerning residence and work permits from third-country citizens who wish to reside in Denmark, Greenland or the Faroe Islands, in order to work or study. Furthermore, we also issue residence documents to EU/EEA citizens, and are responsible for verification within the area of immigration.

At SIRI, we also provide guidance to municipalities and other operators, on how to properly receive and integrate refugees and reunified families. This is done e.g. via Danish language lessons, employment oriented initiatives, and funds provided for vulnerable families. Furthermore, we also provide guidance to municipalities and other operators, on how to prevent honour-related conflicts and negative social control.

We are either responsible or co-responsible for a number of networks and forums, wherein which we collaborate with companies, educational institutions, organizations, municipalities, authorities etc. Here, we are focused on recruiting highly qualified foreigners, as well as supporting the municipal efforts regarding integration and prevention.
