From Culture Shock to Belonging

What happens when we encounter a culture very different from our own?

Moving to a new country can be exciting, but it can also bring unexpected emotional and practical challenges. As an international, you may experience moments of confusion, frustration, homesickness or uncertainty while trying to understand new social codes, routines and expectations.

In this talk, Nanna Hauch, M.Sc. in Intercultural Management and Psychotherapist, MDF will introduce you to culture shock and how it can affect everyday life when settling into a new environment. The talk will explore common reactions to change, why they happen, and how you can work with them in a constructive way.

Through stories, examples and hands-on advice, Nanna will offer inspiration to help you better understand your own reactions. You will also be introduced to practical exercises and tools that can support you in feeling more grounded, confident and at home in your new surroundings.
