Try Out a Danish Madpakke!

Lunch looks different in every part of the world. In Denmark, it comes in a box, and its name is madpakke! Come around and have a taste! Prepped with love by Alle Tiders café.

For the majority of Danish people, the madpakke is a daily phenomenon, introduced right around the first day of primary school. It’s a small collection of open-faced sandwiches on rye bread with a variety of toppings, neatly packed in a small, hard box. For some, a very dear memory; for others, a slightly smelly childhood trauma. 

A madpakke can look and taste in countless ways, but the core idea is to bring a filling, easy and homemade lunch with you to school, to work or on a Saturday stroll by the sea.

In the Outdoor Zone, a chef will prepare 200 madpakker for everyone to taste and initiate a conversation around the traditional Danish lunch. No prior sign-up needed, just come as you are!
