Understanding Danish Culture Through History
What has shaped Denmark and the people who live here? And why do bicycles, flags, “hyggelige” living rooms and shared traditions play such a visible role in Danish everyday life?
In this talk, Mette Boritz, Curator, PhD at the National Museum of Denmark, will introduce you to Denmark from a historical and cultural perspective. Through selected stories and examples, you will learn about some of the events, traditions and ideas that have influenced Danish society and helped shape the country we know today.
This talk will explore how history is reflected not only in museums and monuments, but also in everyday habits, social customs and the way people live together. Join the National Museum of Denmark and explore how Denmark’s past still influences everyday life today.
