Understanding the Danish Healthcare System

Get a clear and practical overview of how to navigate the Danish healthcare system – presented by a medical doctor from the Capital Region of Denmark, which is responsible for the healthcare system in the Greater Copenhagen area.

In this talk Kristian Kjær a medical doctor from the Capital Region of Denmark will give a practical and hands-on introduction to the Danish healthcare system and how it is organised. 

You will learn about the role of your local doctor, how to access hospitals, specialists and dentists, and what services are covered. The session will also explain how to use your yellow health insurance card, how to register with a doctor, and how and when to contact medical services – including your doctor, a specialist, emergency care or the medical helpline.
