Volunteering in Denmark: A Unique Opportunity to Join a Community

Get inspired by internationals who’ve built friendships, networks and purpose through volunteering.

What does it mean to be a volunteer in Denmark – and how can it help you feel more connected to your new home?

Rita Moreira from Frivilligcenter Vesterbro/Kgs. Enghave/Valby and Martin Qwist from Kulturens Frivillige will give an introduction to volunteering in Denmark and how it can support your integration, strengthen your local network and open up new experiences. You’ll get to know relevant platforms and ressources to get started.

A panel of internationals will also be invited to the stage to share their personal stories. They’ll talk about the rewards and challenges of volunteering, how it has impacted their everyday life, and what they’ve learned along the way. Whether you’re looking for a meaningful way to get involved or simply curious, this talk offers real-life perspectives on how volunteering can be a gateway to a new community.
