Moving to Denmark: Everything You Need to Know

Starting a new chapter in Denmark? Join in on this comprehensive online talk designed to guide you through the most important steps to getting settled.

In this co-presentation, Josephine Fie Lund Leviné from International House Copenhagen, and Frederik Gammeltoft  from The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) will walk you through the key requirements for starting life in Denmark — from entry permits to everyday essentials.

Josephine Fie Lund Leviné will cover essentials like what a CPR number and MitID is, why you need them, and how to get them, as well as giving you an overview of the career guidance, events, and other services provided to newcomers by the house.

Frederik Gammeltoft  from SIRI will guide you through the number of options available for getting a work permit in Denmark, what the main work permit schemes are, and provide you with basic information on how to proceed, focusing on schemes for non-EU citizens.

This talk is ideal for anyone planning a move to Denmark and want a clear overview of the administrative steps needed to get started.
