Understanding the Danish Housing Market: Renting and Buying

The Danish housing market can be complex – especially if you're new to the country. This session will give you a thorough introduction to both rental housing and home ownership in Denmark. You'll learn how to search for a rental home, what types of housing are available, and what your rights and responsibilities are as a tenant – including what to look out for in contracts, how rent regulation works and what to consider before signing a lease. 

Expert speakers Martha Krog Petersen from the Rent Control Board and Birgit Daetz from Boligsiden will help you make informed choices on the house market and avoid common pitfalls when renting in Denmark.
